No, I never expect them to be good. Its just this "countdown" of how many years since a WS I mean come the **** on if this team wins 1 out of 3 games its an accomplishment, they might as well throw another 100 years on that countdown board they keep out there

No one in Chicago ever talks about the "curse" - it is just tv head stuff. I am a Cubs fan, live in Chicago, and outside of the TV I never ever hear anyone say the cubs are cursed. Lots and lots of people say they suck - haha - but no one says they curse

When was the last time you were at a game? The average SBR poster would nail 85% of the girls at most of their games. They put a terrible product on the field - but buy a bleacher seat and just party for 3 hours - the product they put on the field is just an excuse to party in the stands.

I will add this...

The previous two owners of the team were completely dense. The popularity/sell outs of the "lovable losers" didn't help. People forget the Elia rant when there were 5000 in the park on a good day 25/30 years ago. Everything goes in cycles. The Ricketts (spelling??) I think bought into a bigger black hole than they ever knew. Word is, they are looking for a NEW GM. Hendry may be gone. They have upgraded their spring facilities. Out with the old in with the new.

Losers, yes, yet they sell out game after game after game.... Last time I went back "home" to see a Cubs game I paid $80/ticket to watch them lose 18-3. They're a cash machine.
