    unemployment affecting baseball
The attendence numbers in baseball, partially affected by continuing growing unemployment are worrying owners and partners in general. This could lead to reduced prices on some items, or maybe even tickets to generate more on site attendance, television with baseball seems unaffected.

It makes sense to me. If America is making less so should MLB with lower prices. It's a good thing for people to do to take their mind off their lack of a job... if they could get in on the cheap.

You would think with all the day games attentance will be up. Like if I was unemployed and there was a day game in my town why wouldn't I go watch?

Good call, Most stadiums have $5 grandstand or standing room tix etc. Even a bum could afford those prices and if there are open seats you can just go sit in them noone would bother you.

No real stars worth watching in baseball right now is one of the biggest problems

too much supply, too little demand.

Employment is what keeps me away from baseball games, unfortunately. Not enough hours in the day.
