i had a msg from paco and i sent one as well. he is keeping his word and will be back in august. alot of you who were cool with him and in his thread feel a certain way because of some insensitive comments. i am a black male and come on this forum to read sports related insight and issues. but very often it becomes a race related conversation and i see extremely offensive comment at least 3x a week. so i understand the swing back philosophy. paco was racially attacked from the time he went to the bash last summer and everyone saw him physically and questioned his style and ethnicity. and he took that shiz for months, longer than i ever could have. i am more of a king mayan type where i like to slap the shiz out of someone when they come sideways out of their mouth. and in the real world i haven't seen any of this bravery that i experience on the internet. i say this to say, those who judge him based on comments made in defense of attacks, it is hard for you to relate unless you are a minority and have been subjected to the type of things that are said about you and/or your religion. muslims in this country have become the most scrutinized people based on the actions of a few. all white people aren't serial killers even though the majority of them in history have been white. or child molesters etc. you make a sideways comment about jews or the holocaust you are liable to disappear. but the bashing of other races and muslims seems to be ok in this society.
i defend paco because i have seen him be a friend to hundreds of guys in this forum, including me. and most of his attacks were based on the fact he had 3 million + views and
popularity breeds jealousy. i look forward to august when he comes back and offers his baseball insight which was unmatched last season. and for those that say the forum is dead because of the season, this kid had it rocking and alive last yr like no other. gl paco and i look forward to your return. haters insert yourself as needed.
