Okay here are the numbers as of completion of 6/19 games (I think these are right, this is just from me looking at the schedule):
125 games played
65 in AL parks vs 60 in NL parks
AL record: 74-51 = 59.2%
If you assume 55% home field advantage, that still should have only given them an extra 0.25 games, for 50.2% (I think, someone who's better at math and not tired as I am right now can confirm). This means, basically, adjusting for home field advantage, AL still is at 59%. Crazy.
In this week's series, 5 AL teams swept, while only 2 NL teams swept.
At the beginning of interleague play I said I was betting that the trend of AL domination wouldn't continue. Obviously I was wrong, big time, and that has cost me. Congrats AL bettors.
