I'm headed to Vegas on the northern route I never took out there before through Montana,Idaho and Utah where the rookie class A Pioneer League teams reside. From the looks of the team websites,it looks like some of the most traditional minor league baseball you will find with old school parks with picturesque scenic views from the grandstands with neat advertising on the outfield fences and train tracks right beyond the fences where you hear lots of whistle noises. It reminds me of the stuff hobby train setup collector people do in their basements.
Has anyone been to a Pioneer League game and if so was it a good experience and close to how I envision them?
