I've become so numb to a lot of news, but this report hit me pretty good coming into work early this morning. Some of my best memories from childhood are from my years in the Boy Scouts, especially the summer camps. My heart goes out to the families who lost a son.

Yeah it's been terrible. Even here in Michigan we've gotten hammered -- I haven't heard of any fatalities (thankfully) but there was a tornado in Lansing last week and because of that we were without power for 6 days here just south of Flint -- over 100,000 of us. Michigan just blows in general, though.

WB,
My son is now 24. Some of my favorite memories are of him in Cub Scouts and my job of cooking the pancakes/sausage/bacon on the camping trips.
I simply can't imagine having lost one of those kids, let alone four of them, on one of those trips.

Upper midwest has been nuts. If it isn't flooding, its been tornadoes, or big ass hail storms.
Enough already...

I'm in the flood area... They closed down a 3 lane each way highway because they aren't sure the bridges are going to hold. some of the downtown bridges have water going over the top of them.
The flood zones are like 10 year floods or 100 year floods... No the type of flooding we have is the 500 year flood plain...
if you want to follow up and see some footage. www.kcrg.comwww.kwwl.com. Those are two local news stations.
