The only valid reason I have for owning one is because I don't do much on the internet. I'm not a big music or movie/tv guy. So I just need a basic computer. Netbook's suck out loud. So because of size, portability, and the ability to use it for all the stuff I actually do on the net it's perfect.

I could not foresee a reason to upgrade one in the near future either unless there is some huge jump in OS'es that requires the upgrade to stay surfing.
