That's a killer deal for Philly. I see Voracek breaking out in Philly. The draft is deep this year as well so the #8 is a good spot to be in. This is a good deal for Philly. Remember Carter is not a playmaker, but a scorer first so it's not like he was acquired to pass the puck to Nash.

Carter was moved from Center to Wing because Flyers had Briere, Giroux, Richards he never liked it, Flyers had an extra Center and frees up cap room to sign the goalie Ilya Bryzgalov.

Giroux was already their top player, time for JVR to be their 2nd best and they should be Ok. This just in - Bryzzy just signed for a 9 year $51 million contract.

Height: 6-1, Weight: 190 Schenn's quality play for five different teams in a whirlwind season cements his status as the top prospect in hockey. His performance with Team Canada at the World Junior Championships in particular, where his 18 points in seven games tied Canada's all-time tournament record, made Schenn a household name. He has been dominant in the WHL as well, totaling 22 goals and 57 points in 29 regular season games split between Brandon and Saskatoon. What planet do you live on??? Do you even follow hockey? The first round is pretty damn deep. No Crosby's , but there is talent to be had in the 1st and early in the 2nd round.
