    Marcus Vick
Apparently Marcus “New Mexico” Vick scored a lowly 11 on his Wonderlic test at the NFL combine last month. That’s slightly better than Vince Young’s badly graded score, but somehow still lower than his actual score. To quote a scout: “[The scores] indicate that either [Vick and Young are] functionally illiterate, mentally handicapped, or simply didn’t care enough to take the test seriously.”

Not that New Mexico didn’t have enough ugly marks on his resume, but now we’re looking at a guy who:

    • Has had nothing but off-field troubles.
    • Is slower and has a worse arm than his brother.
    • Stomps the legs of defenders when they’re lying on the ground.
    • Is fortunate to be able to write his name in the ground with a stick.

Yeah. We’re pretty certain the Buzzsaw is gonna draft him. Second round, we bet.

I think we think along the same lines. All his crap and trouble aside, the guy was never even a mediocre college quarterback.

He coouldn't even beat Randle out a year or 2 ago and I could be wrong, but I don't think Ranle was ever drafted in the NFL. This guy is simply going to get drafted based on his name alone.

It's funny because a few years ago i was on different message boards saying close to the same think about Michael Vick that i do Young and I've been proven right on everything I said then, Not to mention, Young is not nearly as fast as Vick either.

I can't say it enough, GM's are morons who are just ex-players or well connected people to get the job. These decisions are so easy to make.

Why is it never brought up on these sports media shows on ESPN about the black folk wonderlic scores. Youngs aside. Probably because that would be racism, right? Geeze, give me a break.

Can you really see Young under center in the NFL, audible at the line of scrimmage, take a 7 step drop, and hit a deep out consistantly. I've never seen him do that once in college. Thats what it takes to be a great quarterback in the NFL. To drop back, and throw accurate passes on the mark. CONSISTANTLY

The problem with these quarterbacks is they can not to that, but once a game they will run around like crazy, avoid a couple tackles and throw a 25 yard pass to a stationary running back out of the backfield and that is what makes the highlights. But you can not keep doing that every play and succeed. You have to consistantly take 5 and 7 step drops, have a quick release, a powerful, and accurate arm all while being smart enough to read defenses and progressions to know where you go with the ball in 3 deep vs. where you go when SS comes to the line. I GUARANTEE VINCE YOUNG CAN'T DO THAT.

Peyton Manning, Matt Leinart, and Carson Palmer all did that in college. I haven't seen enough of Cutler to judge him fairly.

Looks like there WILL be a quarterback in the draft that Vince Young should be drafted ahead of.
