I've got a good friend that was asking the same questing about two years ago. He's 31 and single. He moved to Austin, Texas and loved it. He now lives in Denver and loves it there as well. Says that he doesn't feel out of place being 31 and single in those cities. Young adults are very career oriented there and great singles life without any pressure. Might look into those two places

Huntington Beach, Cal so San Diego on your list. Been to all except Seattle and although many great cities are listed none are close to the perfection found in southern california. Only issue is employment which can be a big problem there.

Vegas is tough to beat. 33 and single, and you pretty much have your pick of what you want. Easy skanks everywhere, more long term type girls all over too, just gotta know where to go for those. No bullshit though, with the skanks, most of them love the powder, so there's a lot of baggage that you'll have to deal with, even if you're just with her one night. I had a few close calls in 5 years here. I'm more careful now.

Texas - but not west Texas or Waco. Austin is great, but no professional sports. It's a 1-1.5 hr drive to San Antonio for NBA, 2.5-3 hrs to Houston for NBA, NFL, or MLB, and 3-3.5 hrs to Dallas for NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL.

Austin has a great bar and live band scene. Art, parks, lakes, trails, food, and the like are all great. My complaint is that Austin has become much more cosmopolitan that it historically has been in the past.

Miami, hands down. I live in Ft. Lauderdale which is basically the same thing; a bit smaller and some other differences but lived in Miami for 7 years when I was 23-30. Insane time. Tons of clubs, latin girls, beach, sports teams and year round sporting activities. Got to be able to deal with the summer heat though.

grew up in chicago (which i would recommend like others have mentioned) and moved to new orleans being 28 and single. contrary to popular belief i would NOT recommend it here for singles. of course we know how to throw one hell of a party down here, and we use every holiday/weekend/or any other reason as an excuse to have a party, not just mardi gras
that being said, when u actually live here (and not just here on vacation or to check the city out) its horrible for singles. everyone here is married. like everyone. its really weird and freaks me out sometimes b/c compared to chicago its like the 'family' concept and marriage have much more significant meaning in new orleans for some reason. i think thats how most of the deep south is anyways
