Not trying to be rude but you probably should do some reading and searching on google first... It is kindof a cat and mouse game between apple and the people developing the exploits and the information sometimes changes... I did it once with a iphone 3g awhile back just by clicking on a website on my phone and when I did it with an iphone 4 the process had completely changed...

Also make sure verify all your firmware and basebands and such because I bricked a phone doing something wrong once (trying to update the firmware without changing the baseband) and while I was able to eventually restore the phone it wasn't a fun process...

i doubt it....you probably updated your itunes which in turn means you have likely updated your iphone iOS. There are diff jailbreaks for diff iOS versions

If you verify everything it is probably pretty unlikely you would brick it and even then you should be able to restore it.. Once it is jailbroken I think there is even software you can backup your firmware and such in case you need to restore it...

In my case I could have probably could have restored the phone to the latest firmware and baseband but didn't want to do it because you couldn't unlock the undated baseband at the time and I wanted to sell it unlocked on ebay... Eventually I found somewhere I could download the old firmware and a way to bypass itunes to restore it to that version...
