poll: do you bet over more often or under?

i like to bet over more often than the under...if i have to do a talley, i'd say 60% over, 40% under.

but if you bet more under, you'll win more.

but for me it is kind weird to root for no scoring.

Unders. I used to coach (and play) defense, maybe that's why I tend to root for low scoring games. Also better if you play dogs, generally speaking.

No preference but rooting for unders in NFL is painful to watch, just as overs in baseball when nobody can get a hit.

Most people who watch games bet overs. It's easier to root for more points and surges but nothing you can hope for that will subtract points.

I agree with Bill...during the regular season where I would cap games and almost never watch them I would pick my spots and take way more unders where as in the playoffs I have been taking more overs which has made the playoff totals a complete washout for me.

I take the under more in all sports I bet. I rather be a winner right off the bat.

I don't play totals much, but when I do it tends to be on the over. Hate losing a bet early in the game (baseball: 4-4 end of second inning to kill the under 8 1/2......)

Good point LT if you are picking every game at least so far this season you are better off playing every under but most people dont play every o/u every day that would mean placing 10-15 bets a day on o/u thios has been debated a lot on here and is very interesting to here what every one says

My one of many weaknesses is that I love betting the over on low unders.I curse the national league for being scoring impotent when I lose these tempting low overs.More often than not though,I seem to do ok on them with all combined sports.

One thing with the under is that you feel you are winning the bet right up until it goes over if that makes sense.You at least get a bit of a betting buzz.With the over it's all anticipation that seems unatainable at times during the game.

In football I love betting unders on bad weather weekends.

I tend to be scared of the UNDER. Sometimes you bet under 8.5 and it's 3-2 in the 2nd inning! I hardly play UNDERS. I seem to realize that UNDER 7 works about 80% of the time though. I like playing the over (when the total is 9 to 10) depending on the pitching matchups and weather conditions.

This is exactly my thought process. I bet 80% unders selectively in all sports. It is hard for me to pull the trigger on an over, especially in MLB because so many games start out with 3 or 4 scoreless innings. But I will ride teams and streaks of overs.

With unders you start out great. If you go one scoreless inning you have an advantage. If there is one run scored in the first and none scored in the second you still have an advantage (assuming the total is 9 or 9.5).
