    Was the 1919 World Series not fixed?
    There is no single proof the Whitesox fixed the series. Recent information shows that the 3rd base umpire and the vice marketing chairman of promotions for MLB started the rumor after betting heavily for the Whitesox with bootleg money.

      Fly do you have a website to go and look at some of your stuff? I have some good stuff also, well I think it is good. Some bballs signed baseballs. Bill Walton,George Gervin,Steve Nash and some others. I like that kind of stuff would love to go look at some stuff and drool...
      If it seems to good to be true it usually is!!

            not into autographed stuff or modern.. im into prewar. the only autographed stuff I have is practically worthless to most people. I am a die hard cardinal fan.. went to the 82, 85, 87 world series and got tons of cardinals autographs. I have a memorabilia room in my house with a lot of it. I have some of my high end graded stuff here with me some in the safety deposit box and some going to be in the next memory lane auction... feel free to e-mail me sometime and I can e-mail you some cool stuff... just picked up a 1921 baker and a e98 devlin.
