    GamblingSaloon closes with player funds
GamblingSaloon (SBR rating F) closes with player funds. Account holder "Mike" tells SBR the site is now off-line leaving no instructions on collecting his $300 balance. GamblingSaloon was an Interactive Gaming Systems Group sportsbook. IGS took the remainder of its small turnkey hosted sportsbooks off-line earlier this month.

That is pathetic, complete thievery and over $300. I can only hope not too many players are stuck in the mud with balances owed much higher than that, but then again there most likely are.

          Mike doesn't know the industry.

For us it seems like a no brainer, but just think of all the people in the world that decide they want to gamble online today, they fire up the Internet, and send the first website they find a few bones...

But yes, you are correct, the "gambling saloon" does sound a bit shady...

A lot of those IGS sites (holder of futurebet sub license) had decent looking sites. Back when the internet had thousands of books they could kind of blend in. It's tougher now with processing and the bigger places widening the gap. That was part of the reason why Futurebet hooked up Oddsmaker and BetOnUSA and then started stiffing all the smaller books. As these BetUS and Oddsmaker brands build up they want to be seen as legit and hope everyone forgets how they got here.

fwiw, at least it was only $300, could have been a lot worse. not saying that $300 does not mean a lot to the dude, but we have all heard horror stories involving much more money than that

i know its about the principle, but gambling online involves risk much more than losing gms, the not getting paid risk is a built in one, and if you dont have the cash to lose, dont do it
