Guys, none of you have obviously ever been involved in speeches/TV/media, etc etc. These aren't even major gaffes at all, I was expecting at least something good, these clips are so nothing I can't believe it.
He's not stumbling at all in the first clip, someone is yelling from the audience, and it was distracting/interrupting him. You can hear it in the clip. In that speech he's just being a normal person speaking in a normal non-rushed non-robotic way (which is incidentally why so many people like him so much) and someone is yelling loudly about whatever he's talking about. Anyone would get distracted, and it's why he made the "don't get fired up" comment.
So if the yeller was so loud, why isn't it loud in the clip? Because the audio is coming from a friggin "unidirectional" microphone, ok? They're made to pick up nothing but sound coming from where it's pointed, which is why people making speeches use them. The fact that you can hear anything of the yeller faintly at all shows how loud he was actually yelling. The mic Obama is using is specifically made to not pick up any sounds from the surrounding area. If you don't believe me, get one and play around with it.
The other two are just the most basic slips we all make all the time, they're not even big ones.
In the first he was trying to say he almost went to all 48 contiguous states, but didn't get to one, so he only went to 47. He actually mentions Hawaii and Alaska as two places they wouldn't let him go, to try to clarify that he only meant the contiguous states when he said he went to "almost all" the states. So 47 is in fact what he meant to say as how many he went to. But it came out as "57" because we are so used to using the term "50 states". It was such an inconsequential slip he didn't even realize he said it.
And then the third, fine, he meant to say "inhalator" and accidentally said "breathalyzer" at first, which is an easy to understand slip which he did catch and then joked about.
Listen to the next conversation you have with someone and see how common these kinds of things are. This is the best they can find out of all the Obama footage there is right now?
