There would be no other MVP because nobody on the team except Kobe can carry that team to a victory here.

Of course it is possible. Maybe not likely, but it is possible.

Maybe fisher hits end of game 3 pointers to win each of the next 4 games.

Maybe Kobe gets hurt and Gasol or Odom step up.

          Maybe...maybe...maybe...

the thing is that if kobe doesn't perform, there is no way the lakers can win the series.

"No way" is a phrase that can be very dangerous to anyone's bankroll. Just ask the bridgejumpers that loaded up on Big Brown to show in the Preakness.

That said, I agree that is very unlikely that the Lakers win without Kobe performing, but that is different than no way it can happen.

What if Kobe performs and so does someone else? What if he performs with defense and gets a bunch of dimes by feeding Gasol or Fisher. The glory number (and maybe the MVP) goes to someone else.

What if Fisher starts making it rain three pointers...or just goes lights out in game seven... maybe something like 9 for 9 from behind the arc.

What if Garnett and Pierce collide going for a rebound/steal/etc and both get hurt and can't play. That opens the door for anyone on the Lakers since a 50+ point game won't be needed to win. What if Kobe gets hurt on the same play?

What if the Celtics team bus is in a wreck and the big three are hurt/killed?

Sure, these are not likely, but they could happen.

There were no bridgejumpers betting BigBrown to show.

I have as good as a chance at winning the MVP then a Laker teammate of Kobe's

and I don't even play for the Lakers

about 10% it is just a few games, if Danny Granger and Brad Miller can win NBA player of the week, of course Pau Gasol or Lamar Odom can win Finals MVP
