i think standing around and then having to all of a sudden spring into action causes a lot of pulls and strains on these older white guys. And pitch counts, right? ha. "when I was your age... they never had pitch counts and no one ever got hurt"

Players go on 15-day DL, not a month, just to clarify.Don't understand this DL business. If a player is ok after 10 days he can't come back for another 5 days.Just ridiculous.Seems like coddling to me.

It is quite annoying. But it's better for a guy to go on the 15 day DL with a minor injury than have him play through it and injury himself worse later on and miss the rest of the season. It's a long season, not many guys play 162 anyway.

A thread bashing baseball players. I'd like to see anyone go out and play 160 games a year and not have something minor go wrong... Get off their nuts...

it is due to the fact of the longness of the season.

You posters are a bunch of idiots posting on a gambling website, and your questioning elite athletes and how they get hurt? Most of you probably couldn't even run a mile without getting injured.

Yeh I don't understand how they get injured so much by running, for pitchers its understandable. Guess they do play a lot of games though.
