Chicago Bulls hire Vinny Del Negro as coach
The Chicago Bulls coaching carousal appears to have finally come to an end.

According to a report in the Chicago Tribune, the Bulls are set to hire Suns' assistant GM Vinny Del Negro. The paper said a deal still needs to be finalized, but that a news conference could be forthcoming later this week.
Del Negro, who has no previous coaching experience, reportedly beat out Kings' assistant Chuck Person and former Timberwolves head coach Dwane Casey for the job.

The hiring would mark the end of a drawn-out and sometimes convoluted process for Chicago. After first flirting with former-Suns coach Mike D'Antoni, only to see him join the Knicks, the Bulls then appeared close to bringing back former coach Doug Collins. Collins would eventually withdraw from consideration, at which point Del Negro became the number on candidate.

The 41-year old Del Negro played for five teams over an 11-year NBA career and averaged 9.1 points and 3.2 assists in 771 career games.

What was the rush here? Both these teams hire questionable coaches and there is still a guy out there that would be head and shoulders above either one and that is Thibodeau from Boston. Have they not been watching the defensive clinic the Celtics have put on all year?

I'd rather have Avery Johnson than any of these bums.

Thibodeau and Johnson are available, but they go with Porter and Del Negro.

Forgot about that brilliant move. The only move I liked was Dallas getting Carlisle. I think he's a good coach.
