Just gave up a HR to the Royals, and he also nearly blew the save the other night with them.

He's been fading for some time now, pal. Overrated these days. not the lights out guy of yesteryear.

Still, it's almost unnatural to watch him do that in the same series..

His fade will come at some point, but no I don't think we can write him off after just these two non-perfect outings.

What other reliever could have his April and May, and then have his June so far and get questioned? It just shows you how different a level he is thought of as on.

This is why they should be grooming Joba to close out games.

I think he'd be better in that role than as a starter, and I was very vocal about wanting to atleast give him a go as a starter because of the pathetic performance by the young guns. The bullpen is atrocious either way.

Joba IMO will take a while to become a premium starting pitcher, he needs to develop his other pitches more, more fastballs he throws the more will be sent cruising out of the park when it gets away from him or isn't 99MPH.

                  5 star,
                  You beat me to it!

And not just 16 saves. 16 saves in 16 save opportunities!!!

12 hits in 28 innings of work

                  2 earned runs

There aren't many teams in MLB that wouldn't take that kind of production out of their closer right now!!!!

                  Doc

he hasnt blown a save all year. he is still elite. he was the greatest closer ever. now he's in the top 3 in the game today.
