Phil Jackson tells Doc Rivers "See you in LA" last night..
    Story

Jackson had passed Celtics coach Doc Rivers in a back hallway and offered not a word of congratulations or even a friendly “good game” as Doc had offered him. He merely pointed his finger and said, “See you in L.A.” He clearly wasn’t happy.

Jackson had finally taken a spot behind a podium that allowed his hip some relief and right away it looked like he was coming hard, the only question whether he wanted the $25,000 fine or the $50,000 one for blasting the referees.

What were you most struck by in the game, Jackson was asked, your fourth-quarter rally or your three quarters of futility?

He just laughed and here we went, right?

“I’m more struck by the fact that Leon Powe gets more foul shots than our whole team does in (Powe’s) 14 minutes of play,” Jackson said, even mispronouncing the Celtic forward’s name to add insult to his 13-10 free throw edge. “That’s ridiculous.

“You can’t play from a deficit like that; that we had in that half, 19-2 in the first half. I’ve never seen a game like that in all these years I’ve coached in the Finals. Unbelievable.”
He makes a great point. He'll be getting all the calls game 3.

I agree. Ride Lakers money line in at least games 3 and 4.

              Jackson is right though.

Here's some more I didn't want to paste the entire article.

“I think my players got fouled, I have no question about the fact my players got fouled and didn’t get to the line,” Jackson said. “Specifically I can enumerate a few things, but I’m not going to get into that.”

Celtics only need one in L.A.....they can go to sleep for the other two, come home and have a good shot to close them out.

The Celtics defense is too much for the wet behind the ears Laker team.

Who cares if he's right? Funny how the first thing coaches go to, when things don't go their way.....is to blame it on the refs. Classic.

Yeah I hear you and I agree with that in general, but damn it was so lopsided. With 5 minutes past into the 3rd Q, the Lakers had 26 FT attempts compared to 2. I just can't grasp that from an objective POV, to only have 2 FT attempts in 2 and a half quarters of NBA basketball compared to 26 is a bit surreal.

not a wise prediction, thinking celtics will win 2 in la. celtics are a different team on the road, and only beat detroit twice on the road because chauncey was not himself. the lakers are very tough at home. i am backing boston as evidenced by my posts pre-series talking about them earning respect, but picking the celtics to win 2 in la is very bold and quite frankly, unwise. i see boston winning 1 game in la, then going back home up 3-2 and closing it out in game 6.

Where was Phil when his Lakers, in game 2 at home against the Jazz, shot 43 free throws, as opposed to the Jazz' 16. Funny, I didn't hear a peep out of him then.

You Boston homers make me sick.

You'll be the ones losing your money to me by taking the celts moneyline.
This game was clearly officiated horribly. I was holding a celtics ticket, and I still was getting frustrated by the one-sided bullshit.

The celtics are not saints, they do commit fouls... And they will be committing a lot in LA, you'll see.

The second foul called on Kobe was the single worst call of the playoffs. Just unbelievable to take the best player in the league out of the game on a touch foul. If I remember correctly, the Lakers were up 2 at the time, but when Kobe returned LA was down double digits. Game over. Anyone who didn't see that the officiating was ridiculously one-sided in Boston's favor is wearing blinders.

It's considered to be a bad mark in society to talk about conspiracies despite the fact that conspiracies are just everyday life, it's no big deal.

From my perspective, it almost makes at least the next game very unbetable............too much of a chance of the refs controlling something (or not).
