This is the 4th major in the last 5 he has had a weekend lead. It's also the 3rd time he has posted a number multiple strokes clear of the field. One of these days he is going to string them together, not fold, and lap the field...I think its this weekend.

The kid is playing well this week but what is with all the hype all of a sudden? He leads again in a major and at least this time he will have a big enough lead so even if he pisses himself again a win should be in order. The thing that gets me is ESPN and the media goes way to far in comparing players to greats so quickly. Look at early in the playoffs after LeBron had one good 4th quarter in one game and the next day he is being compared to Jordan. Same thing here, now we have McIlroy who should already have 1 major this year if he wouldn't have pissed it away and so he has another chance and that warrants talk in the same sentences as Tiger? Rediculous in both cases. In one night we would go from McIlroy being so great and then if he wakes up tomorrow and shoots 79 and loses he will be one of the biggest jokes in golf. His play has been impressive through 3 rounds but Sunday is the most important day in golf, a day that Tiger dominated for years racking up more championships than McIlroy will ever dream of.

Do you realize how many golfers have been through this tourney and not scored what he did this weekend? Epic. Shows signs of true dominance and possibly better than Tiger if he can show some canugies and finish on Sundays. Hoping we have a star on our hands for years to come. Sick of the Tiger BS.
