Employees that acquire the customer database and sell it off to whomever wants it. When the online pharmacies were huge in CR (and quite a few sportsbooks had their hand in that industry as well), this happened all the time. And even to this day, it still goes on. I know of a certain list that recently changed hands for $100k. Selling sportsbook data is rather lucrative, if you know where to look.
