Phil Jackson on the officiating
Makes a great point.
"What we have to do is get to those loose balls. We've got to get timely rebounds, and we have to stop them in transition, knocking down those 3's, and we'll be fine. A free throw or two wouldn't hurt.''
Lakers coach Phil Jackson said he was more struck by Powe shooting more foul shots than his entire team in limited minutes than he was about the difficulty his team had in scoring points in the first three quarters or its fourth-quarter rally.
"I've never seen a game like that in all these years I've coach in the finals. Unbelievable,'' Jackson said.

It is true but also a classic angle for calls next game, not that it's needed. No way the Celtics are within 10 FT's of Lakers game 3, and likely game 4. Game 5 will probably be a little more realistic since it'll probably be 2-2 by then.
NBA playoffs are like pro wrestling.

I was thinking 20 more but it could be much higher. But, the refs might realize that giving Pierce and/or Garnett a quick two could be enough to give the Lakers the game.

Lakers have as many FT's (10) within ten minutes of first Q as they had ALL of game 2.

I have Lakers ML believe me I like it, but pointing out they are following the script of officiating to a T. Notice they give quick fouls to Radmonvic, he is not a threat to foul out, just a perimeter shooter. Making it look more realistic.

Yes and Odom too. He hasn't been playing well anyway. I think the Lakers are clearly the better team. The refs will determine this series, imho. If I'm right, give the advantage to the MVP, the reigning MVP almost always wins in the finals. Does anyone have a stat on that?

LAKERS Free Throws 12-22, 54%
CELTICS Free Throws 5-7, 71%
Whoever said 15 more by half was a winner.

Just switched the channel with 5 seconds left or so when Kobe drove to the hoop before the end of the 1st half. No one touched him but a foul was called, LOL, they couldn't even show a replay it was so bad. If I was the Lakers I would send him to the hoop all night long, he's going to make the shot or get fouled, sometimes both. No way you can lose if he stays aggressive and goes to the rack all night. No way!
And yes, Celtics got the same treatment in game 1 and 2, maybe not as bad as Kobe will get tonight but still very biased.

LA would have a hammer lock on this one if they could stop missing so many free throws.

Must be out of rhythm for only shooting 10 of them last game.

This is a replay of the Heat/Mavs series from 2 years ago:
Absolutely correct sir. The time to bet the Lakers (series) was after game 2. For starters I don't think Boston will win one in LA. No guarantee Lakers will steal one in Boston but they have a much better shot at it in my opinion. Either way you will have a nice hedge opportunity which is what I will do eventually. Easy money.
