I understand hes backing up Martin but **** I mean this guy is just complete trash, you dont have to follow baseball the announcers remind you what a shitbag backup he is everytime he ***** up which is roughly 5 times a game. They need to bring up Montero and give him a chance. His defense can't be any worse than Cervelli, and he's much better offensively. Plus increases his value for trade bait when then go for pitching they really need.

cervelli is a solid backup for Martin who is a one or two year stopgap until sanchez is ready. Montero probably moves to DH at some point or gets traded

Cervelli is such garbage....I have no idea why Posada is not backing up Martin at catcher. That way if Martin is out of the lineup they can get a new bat in the lineup. Cervelli is awful behind the plate and has zero pop. Varitek is better than that bum.
