Erick Dampier partied with the Mavs after Game 6, other Heat players too

In a bombshell story, Heat players were reportedly present at Club LIV on South Beach after Game 6. LIV was the official party destination of the Dallas Mavericks after they defeated the Heat in Game 6 to clinch their first NBA Championship (click here for photos of Dirk & Lil Wayne partying). This news was first reported on the Dan Le Batard and Stugotz show on 790AM in Miami, and later confirmed by Earl K. Sneed from Mavs.com. Jemele Hill from ESPN.com tweeted that Erick Dampier was one of the Heat players in attendance.

You think any of the Mavs are out partying with Dampier because they are homies from their playing days...nope. Whether he played or not...too soon Damp.

If that's true that Dampier partied with Mavs, then that's fine b/c that was his team mates and he didn't even get any playing time at all during that Finals series. Why didn't Coach Erik Spoelstra let Dampier and James Jones play in the Finals series? When Miami's starters didn't step up their game, then that's when you bring in some bench players like Jones, and Dampier, Big Z, and among others to pick up the slack. Maybe coach erik thought that Dampier would sabotage his heat team, or some other reasons to not let good players who have played great like James Jones not play in the Final series.

Could Pat Riley come back? Maybe or maybe not. Coach Spoelstra did a decent job with the talent he had though, and should be able to keep his job to see if the whole Miami Heat wins next year or not, if they don't win next year, then his coaching job will be in jeopardy. I'm not putting blame on one person, b/c like I said the whole team/organization is held accountable, and not just one person.

Congrats to Dallas! And, they definitely deserved it this year with better playing and coaching, and Rick Carlisle is an excellent coach. Miami will be in The Finals next year though. That was a very interesting Final, and can't wait for next year, and hoping for no lock out.

I met Damp a few times in Dallas over the 6 years in Dallas and he was really good guy, close to most of the current team... He played all of what 5 minutes in Miami every game this year? He's probably going to retire right away as well..
