If people really want to be all "bad ass" and charge the mound - if they really wanted to hurt the guy - why do they never take the bat to the mound?

These guys are terrible fighters, and the dog pile begins in about 2 seconds. Baseball fights are a joke.

Why take the bat to the mound? So they can give the pitcher brain damage? I don't think they really want to go to jail and do permanent damage to the pitcher.
