1st time i can remember NBA finishing before NHL

Hockey must play the longest season by far of any of the pro sports, for it to be going longer than the NBA seems wrong, i also don't recall this happening before.

Anyone else recall this situation happening?

yes, i was thinking the same thing last night.. good call.. usually NBA playoffs start 1-2 weeks after NHL, so they always used to finish 1-2 weeks after NHL. however, this year, NBA and NHL playoffs started exact same time.. that sucks. i always enjoyed the 2 weeks after NHL is over so i can enjoy the finals in the NBA.. not this year.

I kind of like the way it was set up this year. The NHL acts as a filler for the long stretch in between NBA games.
