well depends on how good your team is, how good you are, how much of a free swinger, home team or road team etc.

Had to figure it was something like that. He certainly is a great leadoff hitter when he wants to be.

Aren't you gonna make any picks in your duel? I've made six and you've only made one.

I wouldn't call beating the team with less payroll than A-Rod by one run in the 9th as great achievement. It's actually an embarassment if you have a $300 million payroll.

Sorry about that bud, I was meaning to put my g/f down but fell asleep, are we allowed to use a 1st quarter bet too? I will put that down as I have Lakers 1Q..

JD's bat is on fire good for him because he was struggling early on this season ............... top 3 leadof hitters in the game right behind my main man hanley.ramirez

well, damon is a .288 lifetime hitter, so the odds of him getting 6 hits in 6 ab's are 1 in 2,000..

So the odds that damon gets 6 straight hits are in 1 in 2,000..

however, the odds of going 6 for 6 are nowhere near 1 in 2,000..

reason why is first of all, how often will a player get 6 AB's.. secondly, the odds of him getting 1 walk would just about ruin his chances for 6 for 6.. It's very rare a player goes to the plate 6 times, let alone get 6 hits because for any walks, hit by pitch, sac bunt or anything else that happens, no way he goes 6 for 6..

So the odds of him going 6 for 6 is nowhere near 1 in 2,000.. but if i had to guess, i'd say about 1 in 10,000 if not more..

If someone asked me before this game how much will they give me on damon going 6 for 6, i wouldn't take anything less than 10,000 to 1.

The odds might be even 20,000 to 1, like rm18 said.. it's impossible to know..

We're only allowed to put down the lines that are up for the bracket contest:

Obviously there will be new lines for the games tomorrow but I don't if they'll include quarters. You'll have to check.

Excellent game today, everybody seemed to step up, for pitchers stepping down.

that was the calculations i did, 1 in 2k to get 6 straight hits

                        and 1/10 to get exactly 6 AB's

but maybe that was a bad guess, because he had had 5 or less all season before today
