It's very hot there guys. Please factor this in your capping. The bigger the horse the more energy it spends to cool down itself on a very hot afternoon.

But how about once they get out of the paddock? It's about 30 min till they get out of the gate and then they have to run full speed for 1.5 miles. The sand will be very hot on the metal horses hoofs and shoes. This is like the marathon of the 3 races and the horses are already worn out from Kentucky Derby and Preakness and the constant travelling. It's not as easy as people think on the horses.Comment -
