Dumbest Thing Ever @ 5Dimes

I rarely have a bad experience with this book as some claim, but this one is just dumb. Bet all I had left in my account on one game tonight, so it effectively zeroed out my balance although it ready $0.01 after it was placed as it often shows up there for some reason. Anywho, my bet won and now my account balance is showing NEGATIVE money. Talked to CR via Live Chat and they looked up my account and checked over the stats, etc. I have an IF bet in play, but the 1st leg of that cashed already and was credited back with which I made my "zero balance" bet tonight. So the CR person tells me about my pending balance, etc. I say yes, I understand what is in play - but how do I show a negative Actual Balance when my last play was a winner and should have been paid and credited back? They look it up. YES, it was a winner and is shown as graded, but YES ... the balance shows negative. So they have to wait until tomorrow to let the GM review it.

It's not a huge deal as I am not wanting to bet on anything until NCAA Baseball tomorrow, but if you can see all of this information ... how do you not fix it now?

Because they are ******* ********. I alwaysa have issues with 5d to the point I cant even COUNT the TYPES of errors on their behalf.

i've had that one cent thing happen to me too before (likely due to casino half-cent round up or round down) and i've shown a negative balance in my transaction history and daily posted totals before, but always the actual balance is 0.00 or 0.01....its really weird.

this is a mistake which im sure they will fix as soon as king tony gives the A OK. just my opinion eagle, but there are much better options than 5 dimes. gl

Unfortunately, this has happened to me several times here in OZ. Here in the land of regulated gambling.

Never with IF bets but either an Aussie book has misgraded a wager, screwed up a parlay ie paid me for one leg and not the other 2 winning legs, etc... Really bizarre stuff at times.

And almost every bloody instance I have to wait until the "sports" crew comes in the next day. I'm assuming it's almost like a chain of command/passing of authority thing which you find in a lot of CS jobs. Even here at SBR there are situations where the poster knows there was a stuff up and I know there was a stuff up with something ie trivia zoning out. But I have to wait for Admin to log on to check it and correct it. It's an important premise obviously as there's a reason everyone doesn't have the same decision making abilities. But it still sucks to be the person waiting most of the time.

5 dimes will be out of business in 5 years or less. There is clear testimony from players that the business has stole funds from player accounts, attempted to manipulate players, and flat out exhibited disrespect towards players. All of these are elements that set up failure. Of course, people will keep playing there, because it is a service, so it'll take awhile before people start to realize better alternatives exist.

I started playing with 5 dimes in 2007 and they have gotten way worse since then

Like I said earlier, I have had nothing but good experiences with their CR. The rep I spoke to last night was perfectly fine. It's just maddening when someone pretty much tells you that they see a mistake, but isn't allowed to fix it or perhaps does not understand enough to fix it. Online with CR again right now as the problem is still showing.

Now I"m f-ing irritated. Am told I have to wait until my pending IF bet clears to see if when that is done that I still have the negative balance. Well, it's pretty f-ing simple. If the 2nd part of the if bet loses, my balance is still going to be exactly the same in negative money and incorrect. If it wins, I won't have a negative balance, but my balance will be incorrect. So I'm pretty much stuck until the IF bet clears is what I was told. F-ing stupid.

Yes, but it is pretty sad that the offshore industry has gone to such shit, that we the players are content playing at a book that has all these negative aspects but justify it because they pay. What happened to the good old days where a book not only paid but appreciate the customers' business and acted in a professional manner in all phases of the operation.

I am sure this situation will be fixed, but the problem is this is going to wind up being a three day process probably for something that you could fix in five minutes because it is black and white. But stupid chain of command shit or whatever screws it all to hell.

Alright, second part of the IF bet lost tonight. So whenever they actually grade it, my nice negative account balance should still be there. Cannot wait to deal with CR again in the morning. If they tell me I gotta wait for anything else, I'm burning some shit down.

Alright. Well apparently somehow with their software, that was indeed the glitch. Once the IF bet cleared, my balance is correct. Had to contact CR to grade the thing because it had been sitting there with the game finished for about three hours ... but now all is correct. Moral of the story ... fukk if I know.

We all want a shop that is safe, pays, offers many betting options along with reduced juice. We had a few of these in "the good old days". Now we are down to how many....just a couple, if that? It's not like there are many choices left. They know that and they know you ain't goin' nowhere pal.
