Primanti Bros was the best place he visited on that particular episode, they do any kind ofsandwich you want on Italian bread, with fries, slaw/cabbage, and a tomato, one of the best sandwiches I ever ate.

As for Quaker Steak n Lube, its not in downtown but its only about 10 miles outside the city on your way to the airport. The wings are pretty good, so many flavors to choose from, like 50+ so you would definitely find a few flavors you like.

The Burgh has changed a lot in the past decade, I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone considering it....there is a boat load of stuff to do.

Ive been too chick and ruths in maryland. It was the episode where he drinks a 6lb shake and a 1.5lb burger. The shake i had there was very good, but the place is extremely small and crowded.

Yeah forgot about that, one in PNC, one on the way to the airport (Robinson Town Center or whatever that plaza is called now), and then the original is up in Sharon, PA...they are all over the place now. I know there is one up in Erie too but there are at least a handful more I'm forgetting, all over the place now.

I've been to Eagle's Deli in Boston (Brighton, technically). They have crazy big burgers and awesome fries, the episode said it's a Boston College football staple. I guess those lineman are packing them in!

Quaker Steak is a chain restaurant. We have one about a half hour away. I had the wings two tiers below the ones he ate for the challenge and they were quite tastey.

I'll keep an eye out for your sign when I'm watching the game...hope your daughter and you enjoy the game, nothing better than Sunday day baseball at PNC.

I got a pair of free tickets about a month or so back when the Power weren't doing too hot, 2-4 at the time, and got to eat at the Lexus Club in Consol...had a good time.

                                Enjoy the game bud.

WAS a great show, the new incarnation of man vs food nation is lame.

I've been to Primanti brothers, Gus's fried chicken and rendezvous in Memphis, ALL terrific eating establishments.

Been to Joe rodgers chilli parlor and darcy's pint in springfield as well.

Diners, Drive-ins and Dive with Guy Fiere has become my favorite food show now

That guy came to San Diego to try the Surf n Turf Burrito, but it wasn't much of a challenge as I can eat 2 of those babies.
He also went to a place where you eat an omelette, but I don't like them as much.

his food challenges were fun to watch, usually something really spicy or over the top in size, he put on quite a few pounds over the last 2 years

Yeah, been to Eagles' Deli in Brighton also, just outside of Boston.
I didn't want the huge fukkin challenge burger or anything like that, but even their regular burgers are big.
It was good; not really noteworthy, but I can't complain. Good fries.

For those who live in the Boston region, I still think that the '99' restaurants make the best burgers. I would love to know what they put in them. There's just something different about them that makes them amazing.
