Props to Joe for letting him finish it. Would've hated to see that 350 LB fat bastard come in and blow another game for him.

Good decision since Saito threw 30 pitches the day before and lost the game. Just glad Broxton wasn't called from the buffet table.

The Dodgers made me happy tonight.

Suffice it to say I'm not picking them for Saturday, though.

Taking a second look I think you're probably right. For me part of the issue is whether LA can put out any offense.

Probably going to skip this one.

OK, now that I have studied things, I actually like the CUBS quite a bit. In fact, they are my POD. Lowe is very inconsistent. Yeah he's been great his last three starts, but he was terrible his previous four and you never know what to expect from him. He is a bit of a head case that doesn't respond well to a little adversity. Zambrano is a head case in a different sense, but he could certainly pitch and he has a allowed a grand total of THREE earned runs in his last four starts (29.2 innings) in LA.

When you back a team, that's the type of effort you want from your starting pitcher. Joe Torre made the right call and left him in. I wish more managers would do stuff like that.
