A pitcher can come in give up 2 or 3 runs get 1 out and get the win, but a starter must go 5 innings to get a win?

#2Best thing to do is not worry too much about an individual pitcher's record these days. Either that or get them to start hanging Wins and Losses on position players. Nolan Ryan was a .526 pitcher over his career, a stat that was always used as sort of a knock against him. Yet Ernie Banks was a .489 shortstop during his career, and I don't hear anyone suggesting he wasn't among the greats. Personally, they're both Texas Legends to me.Comment -

#3Ernie Banks - .489 SS. Please explain?
If you are going by the winning percentage for his teams, that is silly.Comment
