Not sure whether to hedge out my federer bet right now for this match. He should win but its alot closer then I thought it would be.

it depends on what you bet, was it total sets or games, or was it fed to win?, i think fed will still win, i honestly told my buddies that monfils will push him, because monfils is long and wiry, hits the ball hard from the baseline, is a local kid, and has nothing to lose, i told my buddies 5 sets

laying heavy chalk on fed ever since djokovic smoked him in the aussie final is not real wise, IMO, fed could get clipped deep in any tourney from here forward, including wimbledon, he is losing just enough on his ground strokes to allow opponents to keep rallies going and this increases his chances to lose, the opponents are catching up quickly

Completely agree on that call hoopster .... since Djokovic basically showed the world that he isnt unbeatable ... it made me think twice on laying big on FEd ... and unfortunately learned the hard way

Fed looks like he doesn't give a shit
He has always looked this way but he was so good before that he could play at 60% and win

fed hates to lose. i know its hard for fed fans to accept what i'm about to say, but the dude is human. he is an intense competitor and just hates to lose, and i know this because half the time he loses he makes excuses, the other half of the time he gives his opponent credit.
fed is losing a bit because he's been on the tour for 9 yrs and he will be 27 in a few months, plus the opponents are improving their own games and also figuring out how to play fed
he still gives a shit about winning, believe me, he wants to surpass pete's 14 slams more than anything else in the world, give the opponents some credit for crying out loud, you're only watching the score update, not watching it live, right? how do you know that monfils is just not lifting his game?
i really hate excuses

yes shark, monfils covers a lot of ground on the court because he takes long strides, the dude is 6'4" and has long legs to cover so much area on the court, just one stride for me is like one and a half strides for the avg guy

the only way federer beats nadal on sunday is if nadal gets injured and cannot play top form and or he retires from the match. otherwise, no, he'll get crushed again in 4 sets or fewer
