Is McCain, Nixon in the making again?
It appears that McCain will probably take the presidency by default because of the fact that this country simply ain't ready for two minority candidate as commander in chief.

What I mean by default is similar to how Nixon took the office. He wouldn't have had a sniffing chance at the presidency if Bobby Kennedy wasn't tragically gunned down by Sirhan Sirhan. The same can be said here, if Al Gore who is the far more superior intellectual minded person than McCain was to run, it would be a slam dunk for the Dem's. After all the guy did win the popular vote by 500 and lost the electoral votes by only 5.

You are assuming a lot. These folks have been extremely accurate through the years at political predictions.

McCain may not make it till election time once the Bush-Cheney tandem start campaining for him.

They will bury him bigger than he is already buried in.

I agree with you Frostno. Still too many biggots out there for change to happen in the 2008 election.

Darkhorse - did intrade.com pick GW Bush the last two elections? Bill Clinton over Bush Sr.? Would be interesting to know.
