Well, when you're clearly inferior to the Yanks in the AL, what do you expect? They must be raging all the time.

This is the one downside of monitoring games on the net like I do instead of watching them on TV.
What happened?? Was it good?

Commentators became boxing analysts, quite a few punches were exchanged, one guy was tackled to the ground and had 3 guys on him.
They made comments like- "would you say shields kind of, telegraphed that right hook?"

Damn really?? It's been a long time since I've actually watched a game while listening to the commentators.
Aren't they supposed to turn the cameras away from the fighting and not show anything, and the announcers go "This is just sad. What a shame it is that this happened. There is no place for this in baseball, just a real shame this has transpired on the field" while they show camera shots of people standing in foul territory waiting for order to be restored?

On DTV Extra Innings they have just the local commentators coverage, it's not like a national broadcast where you could expect a little more ethical or responsible broadcasting.
Just click on video on the right hand side above the score and choose "Rays-Sox Incident"

Wow.....Actually, for a baseball fight, that wasn't really all that bad. Usually it's a couple of pathetic hooks flailing away at nothing but air, and everybody pairs off and talks about their families and such. Some actual hatred in this one.....
RedSox and Rays have had a few nasty punchups in their brief history. Can't recall what started the animosity, but I recall that Brian Daubach was at the centre of the ill will.....
