only good for people who want their accounts frozen and want to be booted from the book for being a shot taker... if you asked Nobs, he would say that since Betfair hasnt taken the bet off the board, they must be taking a shot at the players...

betfair doesnt control the odds, the punters do.

no ban for taking this bet.

Doesn't sound like this is a good idea.

Yeah no ban for taking the bet, but its too good to be true anyways.

Xchg makes it an ok bet.

But post #5 nailed it. Need to be in play to have action.

You do see some Futures mkts that DON'T require one to be active, but these are just hauls for the book. See things like Heisman futures or Rookie of the Yr. Notes may specify that bet = action, whether player competes or not.

Also, does the bet not stay matched until after the tournament is finished or wold it be voided on the spot, so its likely that you would just be tying up your funds for however long too if you follow this...

Almost every bet requires the player to actually appear.

Would be paid out asap no later than when it´s obvious that he doesn´t start.

But since the rules clearly states the bet will be void there really ain´t no point taking the bet anyway...
