Got a Call About a Potential Job
I need a change from my current situation, badly. So someone set some odds on me getting OFFERED this job. I'm talking fair odds here people. This is a job in my current industry that I have been in for over a decade. I have worked with this company before in a different market, but doing the job that is likely being offered. Have to call back after work tonight to find out more. But, odds me up suckers. If there are fair odds listed, I may open this thread to SBR points wagering on my job future.

Got more info. Would be doing exactly what I did with the company when I worked in the other market. My name is being entered into the mix for the position and the lady I talked to said she will talk to me next week. There you go, set your odds now and we could have a full week to wager on whether or not I get offered this job.

By the sounds of it, I'd say the odds on you getting the job are -200.

            So should we say ...

            Gets Job Offer -200
            Doesn't Get Offer +175

I will mortgage my life on +175.

Nope. I will play fair & square. I just have been looking for a new job for over a year and any nibble I get seems to end up in disappointment. I should add in that I applied with this same company about three months ago, got a phone interview and did not hear back from them until now. I am now though dealing with the person in-charge, not the secondary jackwagon I talked to last time.

Could certainly use this. Need a change of scenery bad. I got my current job when I was unemployed. Was feeling the desperation at that time of three months with one interview and no real leads. If I had to do it all over again, I would have stayed on UE. This current job pays more than UE, but it's the worst work environment I've ever been in.

BEst of luck EP. I currently hate my job but it's high paying and I have student loans to pay off. After they are gone, its back to zero responsibility work...
