#10Yeah that was a bomb but I'm not sure Upton's ball went further than Mitch Moreland's ball that was hit the same day. Either way, both were absolutely crushed.

#12That moreland bomb was crazy, but I think the Upton one looks longer because it passes an entire row and clears it by 50 feetComment -

#17Has anyone ever seen Andres Galarraga hit a monster homerun at Florida against the Marlin's Kevin Brown?
I still remember that shit when it flew to the upper-upper deck.Comment -

#18I remember Mo Vaughn hitting one 3/4s of the way up the scoreboard at the old Shea Stadium, right off of the Budweiser sign. Had to be 500+ feet, easily. I've heard people refer to it as the "Mo Vaughn game".
(Just looked it up - June 26th, 2002 - the home run measured 505 feet.)
The video of it is included here, at the 1:05 mark:
If you remember Shea Stadium, you probably don't remember anyone hitting one that high up the scoreboard in that part of right-centerfield. Unreal.Comment -

#20Also, I remember standing on Lansdowne Street in Boston behind the Green Monster during the home run derby in 1999 when McGwire was putting balls onto the Mass Pike. No idea how far those balls went, but it was incredible. I don't know what they looked like on TV (I was standing on the street outside the stadium and never saw the broadcast), but between the juiced balls, juiced bats, and juiced players, those must have been some of the longest home runs ever hit.Comment -

#21One of the longest HR's I ever saw was GlenAllen Hill when he was playing with the Cubs, hit a HR out of the park and landed on the rooftop of the buildings across the street from Wrigley, 500'+, amazing!

#25Wow that Glenallen Hill home run. Holy shit! I always wondered if anyone ever hit one onto the rooftops before. Question answered.
Someone else brought up Andres Galarraga's homer off Kevin Brown. Up until the Hill homer that's the farthest I'd ever seen a ball travel. Another thing I remember about Galarraga's bomb: Brown must've taken umbrage to Andres posing at home plate admiring his blast, very next time up Brown beaned Galarraga which set off a confrontation, can't remember if bench's cleared or not.
Loved Juan Gonzalez growing up; can't find his homer into the 3rd deck in the Home Run Derby @ Camden Yards, but here's another one of his bombs.
