What cell phone do you use and/or recommend for getting sports scores,your book,etc,etc.

Im looking for one that is easy to get online and easy to navigate,etc

Get the Blackberry . The black one that has WIFI. It works great for me.

iPhone!

It's the best out there for the web as it's just like surfing on your desktop except for smaller screen. The only disadvantage is no videos (except Youtube).

It even has a satellite map which tells you your current location and traffic conditions.

You can buy a 8GB model for $250 (refurb).

My uncle has a I-Phone and I do love it but my wife says that APPLE is working on a ATT version in the near future and would hate to get one now as I am looking for an alternative til they come out if/when they do. I have looked at the Blackjack which is on my shortlist. Does the Blackberry have constant internect connnection like the I-Phone?

iPhone is AT&T compatible, in fact, it's the only authorized carrier at the moment. But it can be hacked to use with other carriers.

lottery. The Blackberry has constant wireless connection via the edge network. I'm telling you I know about phones and wouldn't steer you wrong. The Iphone is nice but have heard horror stories about additional deposits up to 800.00 you may have to pay when you activate. Blackerry is the standard.

$800 deposit? Maybe if you have terrible credit. I didn't have to put up a single cent.

But you do have to sign a 2 year contract unless you plan to hack it. And no phone insurance is avaliable..... which makes sense since everyone would file frivilous claims just to get another iphone.

The only reason to wait is the upcoming 3G iPhone, which is much faster than EDGE.

EDGE network downloads from 70 Kbps to 135 Kbps. 3G can download at speeds of up to 600Kbps and 1.5 Mbps. But it doesn't matter to me since I live in an area where there is no 3G available.

No experience with the deposit on IPhone but have heard of people in forums that didn't have a deposit with ATT but did have one with Apple when activated. FWIW. The Blackjack2 is Alrigt but the keyboard is small and really crowded. The Blackberry is nice because of it's seamless E-mail functions and the speed of the wireless network (EDGE). If you get the Blackberry do not gt the CURVE one. It is nice but that one does not have the built in wireless network. I think the one you want is the 8832. Just ask for the one with wireless.

I think they are full of shit. Why would Apple require a deposit when they only sell the phone? That would be like Nokia or Motorola requiring a deposit if you buy one of their products. Makes no sense.

If anyone requires a deposit it would be the carriers since they are the ones providing the service and taking the risk.

I didn't have to have a deposit with ATT and our current family plan so i may need one with Apple?? What does the deposit cover as all I need is the phone cause I already have service just upgrading phones.

Google it man you will here the stories. I can't confirm but have read about it. I think it was tied to the huge bills people were getting with the IPHONE when it was first out. I would inquire or do an internet search before I purchased.

I did and can't find anything on it. All I see is AT&T requiring the deposit NOT Apple. You're gonna have to google it and link it for me.

You know what I was just looking at some stuff and your right it is on ATT side. What I did see was a 750.00 deposit was a common thread with bad credit. I also saw on a few that they will re-run your credit when upgrading to the Iphone to see if know you will need the deposit..

The blackberry has nothing too crazy. Just an " ON Phone " registration. You can also set it up so that you can use your wifi (home) when in range. Blackberry registration takes 8-10 minutes and all done on unit.

My son just got the I-Phone a week ago and I love it as I tried the " Thant would be a SWEET Fathers Day Gift" on him. As for the DEPOSIT some say came with it here is what I had to pay........$18.00 upgrade fee and LOL thats it except for the $20 per month package that is required with it , All we had to do is hook up to I Tunes and away we went and it works great as well as sites I use on the computer come up pretty much the same way on there.

They also signed some sort of exclusive deal with MLB giving real time scoring and instant in-game highlights. I think the app will run around $10

I got jacked when the 16gb model came out one week after I bought the 8gig I'm gonna upgrade to the new model anyway. I'm real excited about this MLB deal they reached. Plus, the battery is supposed to be even better than the one I have now which is a nice plus. Are you still looking at getting one yourself?

I just would hate to switch carriers. I'm with Sprint right now, and everything has been great. Their data is fast, and I would like to see how this AT&T 3G moves. Plus the pricing. Maybe after I see how things test out with the new phone and service.
