A proposal for the next tournament

We don't need to limit the number of contestants to 64. Here's what I propose:

First round: As many people as sign up can participate. We make picks for a week and the people with the 32-64 best records will move on to the second round.

For the second round, people will be seeded according to their record in the first round. The top four performers in the first round will get the top four seeds, the people who ranked 5-8 in round one will get the two seeds, etc.

Then, we play everything out from there. I think this will add tons of excitement to the first round while not leaving anyone out. We could even say that people could join the first round a day or two late provided they make enough picks (for people who don't know everything that's going on here).

I have another idea that will simplify everything for everyone:

There will be no seedings at all. Here's how it works:

First round: As many people that show up, get to play.
Second round: The top 32 continue on.
Third round: The top 16 continue on.
Fourth round: The top 8 continue on.
Fifth round: The top 4 continue on.
Fifth round: The final two compete.

This way, we don't have the top two performers meeting before the final. This format should truly determine who the best cappers are. Also, it would make everything so much easier diogee, he would only need to grade one contest every day rather than 32, 16, etc. different contests everyday.
