    NHL playoffs surpassing NBA ratings
"Rumor blog coming up, but this is big news...according to Media Journalist Steve Lepore's Twitter Feed

    * Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final peaked with 5.3 million viewers and a 2.3 in the 18-49 demo at 10:30. The NHL won the 10PM hour in the demo.

*Overall, Game 1 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final averaged 4.537 million viewers, up 5% from Game 1 of the 2010 Final.

*Game 1 drew a 25.5 in Boston. Game 1 of last year's Lakers/Celtics NBA Finals drew a 19.1 in Boston.

Beating a Celtics/Lakers Final game in Boston is a sign of just how popular our sport is becoming. Awesome."

I watched more of the hockey game than I did the NBA game.

      And I have 1500 on the heat @ -12X

Nothing on hockey. Last night was a very very entertaining game.

Should never have taken this long. NBA is an unattractive game. Only reason people watch it is A. They have money on it or B. Their "home" team is playing. Otherwise, it's pretty brutal most nights.

I was at the Commodore ballroom in downtow Vancouver with around 2000 people in there for game 1. Atmosphere was electric, especially when the goal was scored..
