For the above example if you lay 100 bucks on matchbook you win 122 (and pay matchbook 1.22 for their commision)

If you lay 100 bucks at Greek you win 95

      Don't People like money?

Every day I wonder how much money posters are throwing away by betting unfavorable and terrible lines ...

Rake...simply put: some people dont like to shop around...others dont have the funds to spread around mulitple books. If you are a serious bettor, Matchbook is a must.

I didn't even advocate shopping around there....

Um where did I say I use bodog and not matchbook? In fact, I believe I have always detested anyone who said they use bodog as a book.

                  I consider them non-Americans.

i keep telling my 2 buddies JJ and Richie to play there and they don't listen.

everytime richie gives his 5 star picks at -1.5 +125, matchy is always a minimum of -1.5 +140, and sometimes -1,5 +143 or more..

just think how much money he has cost himself up till now..that shtt adds up..

i dont understand why they, or anyone else won't play there.

Nicky....Richie and I are old school bettors, we bet the traditional lines only.

Nicky we are tough guy type bettors and ego bettors.

jj, you make me laugh man..

jj, what you are saying is if your bank offered you an extra 7,000 dollars in interest a year, you'd say no because you are old school and you are happy with the 1200 a yr you make..

that's exactly what you are saying here. if you bet at matchy, you will have a minimum of 7,000 dollars in your pocket per year at the end of the year extra, and that is assuming you bet 100 a game and bet a few games a day.

for a guy that bets 2 dimes a game, he saves hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

jj, you dont even need to shop around wiht 7 books. just keep matchy ONLY.. that's it. 1 book and you will save tons of dollars. it's that simple.

you're nuts for not betting there.. i am just trying to help you make money OR lose a lot less.

match doesnt always have the best line. imo spread money in wsex,bookmaker,5dimes,betjamaica and MB always bet the best line

Matchbook is very good for same-day sides and totals.

                            For EVERYTHING ELSE it's useless.

If you want any of the following:

Overnights, Parlays, Team Totals, 5-inning lines, Props, Alt. Run Lines, Puck Lines, Buying or Selling Runs, etc etc etc, you can't get it on Matchbook.

In the future we may all only use exchanges. For now, a lot of what you need you can only get elsewhere.

I am a proud unAmerican. (That uses Pinnacle instead of Matchbook - Mainly due to currency choices, I don't bet in US Pesos)

My vote is ignorant if said gamblers are using more than one out, matchbook not being one of them.
