    H.R. 1174 - Internet Gambling Bill
I hear alot of people are excited about this bill possibly being passed in the future but not me. In case anyone here hasn't read the actual text of the bill, it allows for online gaming (i.e. poker & casino games even "pari-mutuel racing) but not sports betting. I find this very hypocritical and hope this bill doesn't pass in its current form. At least not until they can add some language to the bill that will legalize online sports betting. It makes no sense to me why they would legalize one form of gambling but keep another popular form illegal??

What does everybody out there think? Is there anything us sports bettors can do to make sports wagering legal in this country? Poker players have been up in arms since they took down popular poker sites even going so far as to demonstrate on Capitol Hill. And they may even get a bill passed that would allow them to continue playing - legally this time. Maybe it's time us sports bettors made our voices heard and got out there and started a campaign to get online sports betting legalized? What does everybody think?

First of OP just analyze everything and wonder why they would want to pass this now for online gaming, its blatantly obvious that they want the competition out so they can get there tax $ on the sites they plan on managing, which is probably a good thing to have poker regulated and u wont have issues like the cheating on UB and AB. Yes they are very hypocritical about everything. Get the whole idea that sports will be legal here because this will never be passed, allowed or anything like that here in the states, always remember that.
The only thing the citizens can do really is one day stand up and take the country back that has been run to sh-its, i mean they do what they want because of there power.
Legal- horseracing, lotto, internet casino=no chance of winning in the long run(pure gamble)
NotLegal-sports, poker= if u know what your doing can always win longrun(some gamble mostly skill)

Honestly if something doesn't change with our govn can u imagine what is going to happen soon.
