i agree that the flag represents more than the slavery of black people, southerners wanted their independence BUT the south was fighting for the wrong reason. it was more about wanting to keep their slaves than for independence. if it was only for independence from the USA i would be proud of that flag and it would be a different story altogether. your family profit was not fighting to be free from tyranny or genocide, they were fighting so that they did not have to work in the fields.

That's pretty accurate. Profit, you may not see it that way or may be you do, but you come off as a genuine dude. It's just that nowadays most people will likely associate that flag and it's history to oppression and racism and rightfully so. That doesn't mean it's illegal; that's what makes this country great. Just a thought.

The "battle" flag symbllizes nothing more or less to me than a hillbilly that is ignorant and uses the flag to show how ignorant they are. Most don't know the actual meaning or history they use it to stand out. It's for attention and a symbolizing of being white.I never see a successful person with a flag on their Mercedes or Escalade. Most intelligent people have moved on and that flag doesn't carry any significance except to remind people of the ignorance of racist southerners back then.

Had the south been smart enough to free the slaves as Lincoln ordered and let them have some farm land and livestock, they probably would've stayed on the plantations and continued to work, as free men. But the fat rich hillbilly rednecks would have none of that. So slaves fled north and most joined the union army, which as we all know, proceeded to kick the shit out of the south!

Amazing huh, former black slaves got sweet revenge on the slave owners who once owned them, killed them, work them like dogs and treated them like they were farm animals. So by all means, fly the flag of the ignorant loser, because that's exactly what it represents.
