These types of stories piss me off. Why would they have a 4 year old around a pit bull like that? I love dogs, but why is it 99% of the time there is something terrible like this that happens, a pit bull is involved?

I know pit bulls are popular in the black community, especially after Michael Vick. Where I live, you see plenty of them as well.....except its always total white trailer trash people who own them. Either letting them run around free or chained to a tree with a logging chain. Whenever the dog flips out and kills or injures someone...they're always so shocked! Never seen the dog act like that before.

Story gives no background on ownership, other than that the dogs lived in AN APARTMENT an Brooklyn... dog was probably dominating entire place and horribly trained. Irresponsible ownership with a German Shepard, a Pitbull and a 4 year old and this is why you see shit like this happen. No doubt in my mind this dog thought of itself as pack leader or at the very least viewed itself to be above the 4 year old in dominance. Horrible laws surrounding these dogs and ownership.
