I respect your opinion but if not me someone else will be anyways and i have paid WAY more than my fair share of taxes so I figure I am paying for my own training, uniform, gun without a doubt i will fight for my fellow soldier not Bush or Mccain or whoever is the next president I have had too many slow friends be tricked into going to war so now I will go voluntarily to protect them from serving under false pretences

What is the differance between Bush, McCain and a soldier who has the same ideals as both of them. You may take a bullet save the life of the next Bush or McCain.... what a waste. your fellow soldier might as well be Bush. your fellow soldiers might be a clan member that went to Iraq to shoot some A-rabs...why you gonna save that persons life?

Well I wish you good luck top I think its noble to want to defend your friends and fellow soldiers, but you are not going to be able to "protect" anyone from IEDs which by the most frequent way soldiers are killed and there is almost no one to kill with your gun anymore as you would have to spot someone literally planting an IED to recognize who the threat is, if the troops new where the insurgents were hiding they would just drop a few smart bombs down their chimney and be rid of them, the reason there is no winning this war is you are fighting the bulk of the Muslim ppl, they are crazy and want to kill American troops as well as any religious sect that disagrees with their interpretation of the Koran, there is almost no support whatsoever for this war, so hopefully young ppl will get the drift and stay away from signing up as any war worth fighting would have more than 20% support or w/e the current polls state, by comparison the Americans entering WW2 post Pearl Harbor had a 98% approval rating, the American ppl should decide when it is necessary to risk soldiers lives in a democracy but somehow they don't
