Preacher says world will actually end in October

OAKLAND, Calif. – A California preacher who foretold of the world's end only to see the appointed day pass with no extraordinarily cataclysmic event has revised his apocalyptic prophecy, saying he was off by five months and the Earth actually will be obliterated on Oct. 21.

Harold Camping, who predicted that 200 million Christians would be taken to heaven Saturday before catastrophe struck the planet, apologized Monday evening for not having the dates "worked out as accurately as I could have."

Through chatting with a friend over what he acknowledged was a very difficult weekend, it dawned on him that instead of the biblical Rapture in which the faithful would be swept up to the heavens, May 21 had instead been a "spiritual" Judgment Day, which places the entire world under Christ's judgment, he said.

The globe will be completely destroyed in five months, he said, when the apocalypse comes. But because God's judgment and salvation were completed on Saturday, there's no point in continuing to warn people about it, so his network will now just play Christian music and programs until the final end on Oct. 21.

Why don't they just declare a one piece at a time rapture because with natural disasters and wars mixed in with financial collapses being strung out by cook the books methods around the world,it's going to take awhile.It's a rapture like the frog being put in the pan of cold water on the stove burner being turned on where we don't even realize we are being rapturized until it's over

Camping is an idiot. For those who believe, the Bible says the end will be at a time of God's choosing. And you can't figure it out with "numerology". Camping was wrong when he 1st predicted the rapture. He was wrong on Saturday. And he will be wrong in six months...

Harold Camping is a batshit insane ancient crackpot. His calculations make less sense than quantum physics to a chipmonk, and his theories are so far out in space that im pretty sure this guy communicates with extra terrestrials- that or he did some seriously heavy drugs in his younger years. If anything his predictions are insulting to true christians..how anyone can believe a word this guy says is way beyond me, there are some gullible people in this world.
