#8I work full time at my family's funeral home (40-50 hours a week). I invest in real estate and classic cars as a retirement/investment.
I was taught that wages make you a living and profits make you a fortune. It is very true. I make enough to live from my salary but being able to "put back" (reinvest) my profits should allow me to retire at an ealry age. I would consider that to be late 40's early 50's.
I really enjoy my full time job and plan on remaining there for a long time. With real estate being slow, I have recently began investing in classic cars. It is alot easier to sell these cars opposed to houses and it is netting a profit alot quicker and easier without having as much money tied up in one place.
I come on these forums to learn from some of the guys and to be entertained by others. I don't bet baseball alot, but I am thinking about trying it out for a while.
My main sports are College and NFL Football, with basketball being a far 2nd. Beyond these 2 sports, the only betting I do is Texas Hold 'em. I would say I make the most money playing poker. I usually end up on the plus side during football and probably lose a little on basketball.
I know this is more detail than what you asked for but we seem to hide behind the keyboard so often that I would like to tell a little about myself.
I was more active when I first joined, but there has been alot of bullshitting going on around here lately. I hope football will bring back the sharps and we will all learn to be better money managers.
Thanks for reading.

#23Mandy,sounds like you live in Green Bay or Appleton?
I had an older sister that lived in Green Bay.Fun place in the late 70's-early 80's when me and my high school friends used to go to games there. It had a different atmosphere than it does now where it was still a big event to go to Lambeau but it wasn't fashionable and trendy like now. There were very few rules,no security etc.Managed to get on the practice field on Lombardi Avenue one night and gathered up a few blocking pads for souveniirs.hehe!Hell, you could buy a regulation NFL football at the time for $28 and bring it to the stadium and pick it up the next day fully signed.
So you work in a paper mill.eh!I never realized how blue collar union Green Bay is.Do you work in the mill where the union guys thew the snitch in the paper making vat turning him into Charmin? Then that Lambeau tax deal even hits me when I cross the border and buy a burger in Superior,Wisconsin.Kind of cheesey the way they lined up the contracts for Lambeau to all the Soprano family no necks in my opinion.
Do you remember the old Port Plaza hotel in Green Bay?I used to see all the Madden types in the lobby there. Now they stay at the Holiday Inn across the way I believe?Do you know Danny from Danny's Pizza in De Peere? Was acquainted to him a couple times.Kind a scary Pauly Walnuts-Peschi in the mob movies kind of guy.Green Bay's cheddar mafia.hehe!Comment
