Anyone With Solid French Open Plays For The Morning?

I'd like to toss a little out there on the early morning matches. Checked the tennis subforum, but not a lot of people have posted their picks.

Anyone have a play or parlay?

Serious plays only please. I know someone will suggest taking Nadal -15000 or whatever he is.

That's what I usually do in the early rounds too, Canuck. I saw in Staco's thread you were rooting for a tennis parlay.

Right now, I'm leaning with a parlay of Gimeno-Traver, Haider-Maurer, and Kohlscheiber @ +275ish

Don't normally do parlays but I wanted to get some entertainment value on some favs:

Verdasco, Gimeno-Traver, Li, Petkovic, Clijsters

Li goes off at 5:15am, Gimeno-Traver at 7:00am, Verdasco at 10:00am, and Petkovic/Clijsters finish it off together at 1:00pm... so it's spread out nicely for action all morning. GL.

Good luck brutha. That Maurer match is a toss-up. If you have some money to throw away on a longshot tomorrow, Devvarman at +330 or better against Ljubicic. Old Man River is gonna get run into the ground .... or I just look like a douche bag like usual.

I hope you're right. When I was making my picks for the contest, he was one of the few big dogs that stood out. I only logged on now though so I have to check a few places and see if everyone under the sun is on him too. If so, I'm staying away

It's worth a toss away to me. It's one I earmarked when the draws came out. Maybe Ljubicic gets his shit together, but Devvarman has a decent game for clay - just lacks the experience. Athleticism can drive old legs crazy. Ljubicic has the experience, but old legs and a pretty blah 2011 on the surface.

I really want Dimitrov to crush Chardy Shari. Unfortunately since he retired from his last match, I skipped that play - but I am hopeful that he fukks that SOB up.

I like your thinking with Devvarman, I think I'm going with that Eagles, Monte Carlo is the only tourney where I thought Ljubi showed up to play recently. He's looked old for years, but has times when he decides to play! Let's go Somdev!

I'm getting old. I wrote this 3 days ago on TI: "Somdev has much more of a chance than these odds state. I may just take him with the handicap but still undecided"

And about Chardy - you know how much I can't stand that cornflake but at this price I can't take Dimitrov. I'd love to but I'm seeing +125 and it's not worth it on a guy who has never even played at RG before, lost to Bloemke and then retired in his last match. If one or two of those factors were different, that would at least bump his predicted chance up a bit more but not with +125.

I hope he kicks his ass though

I went the other way before checking this thread again. Pous-Tio has been playing some decent tennis it seems, but I just don't like her inexperience in majors, not yet winning a match. Dulgheru has been sliding in the rankings, but played better a couple weeks ago and reached the 3R last year at Roland Garros. Just felt the value was there on Dulgheru.
